Aggie Baby was my first on air coach back 2003, & a good friend, she got me out of my shell. I would have never gone on air if it wasn’t for her encouragement.

My early memories of Aggie were us playing jokes with each while live on air, which we did a lot. This resulted in us making mistakes while broadcasting, it was pretty funny. She taught me a lot about Native music, & culture. I remember her nights staying at my apartment so she can be ready to travel to the radio station in the early Morning. I remember the fun time traveling to powwow in Maine that summer. We went one year to the Music awards, and Buffy Saint Marie concert, where she got to meet Buffy.

She loved music. She was a fun person. She loved her family. And native crafting, she did amazing beadwork.
Aggie Baby was known to say on air:  PLAY IT LOUD, PLAY IT PROUD.  She loved her Rock music & Native music.

Kwe' Aggie;

I think about you every day.. Especially at 8am. I miss our early morning chats about music trivia, our listeners, life in general, and my attempt at Mi'kmaq greetings. You taught me a lot; I'm going to miss you so much.

Aggie loved her job and cared deeply for the success of Membertou Radio. She will be missed by her radio co-workers, past and present. As we struggle to say goodbye to a Cape Breton Indigenous treasure, and try to think of something to say, Aggie summed it up perfectly as she signed off her 'Membertou Morning' radio show..

"There's no goodbyes in our language, we just say Nmultis.. We'll be seeing you real soon."

-Aggie Baby

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Aggie Baby.

-Rich
